Israeli design has a feel of its own. I started UINation to collect it.

A design inspiration site like Lapa Ninja or Awwwards, only for work made in Israel. Rotem Logasi and I rebuilt it in early 2025.

Like a lot of designers, I learned by scrolling. Pinterest, inspiration sites from abroad, saving every detail I liked and then trying to make it work in my own projects.

The deeper I got, the more one thing bugged me. There was no single place to see what’s being designed here, in Israel, without digging through a pile of sites from everywhere else.

So I started UINation. I wanted something like Lapa Ninja or Awwwards, only for Israeli design. When a designer sits down to start a new site, they can open UINation and find references made here, ones that fit the culture, the character and the values of this place.

I think Israeli design has a feel of its own. It’s in the language, the colors, the humor and the attitude, and to me it just feels closer to home. (The language part is literal, too: a Hebrew site runs right to left, and the whole layout flips with it.)

In Hebrew the page reads right to left, so all of it flips.

Rebuilt with Rotem

In early 2025, Rotem Logasi, a developer, came on board, and together we rebuilt the site. He built features we couldn’t have shipped without him, and a lot of why UINation can keep growing on the technical side is his work.

Where I want it to go

Right now it’s websites. I’d like it to cover branding, apps and creative projects too, including work that pushes on what design and UX can be.

The bigger hope is a community, where designers who are just starting and designers with years behind them share tips and learn from each other because they care about design made here. I think the more we work together and back each other, the stronger the industry gets, and that will show abroad too. Israeli designers have no reason to feel second to designers anywhere else.

The other half of the idea is a loop. When a designer finishes a site, they come back and submit it to UINation, and their work becomes the next person’s reference.

Look, build, submit. The finished site becomes the next reference.

If you have a question or an idea, or you just want to say hi, UINation is on Instagram, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
